Lilac Time is a 1928 American synchronized sound romantic war film directed by George Fitzmaurice and starring Colleen Moore and Gary Cooper.
A British fighter ace, Capt. Philip Blythe (Gary Cooper), falls in love with local farm girl Jeannine (Colleen Moore) while stationed in France. But the reality of combat intrudes upon the romance when Blythe is shot down by an enemy pilot (Eddie Clayton). Jeannine, who promised to wait for Blythe to return, searches for him when she learns that he crash-landed. Upon discovering only the wreckage of his plane, she journeys to Paris in the hope of finding him in one of the hospitals.
